COMPANY INFORMATION

PCConsultancy was formed in January 2004 to provide a professional, personal & patient service to home computer users.

Originally we provided support in the Reading and surrounding areas. However we are now pleased to announce that we also support Basingstoke and its surrounding area, as from October 2007.

Who?

My name is Keith Grant, and I am the Proprietor and Senior Consultant here at

PC Consultancy.

I come from a background in Enterprise level IT support and have been using computers since 1982.

My last position, before forming my own company, was as a Senior Technical Support Engineer with VERITAS Software - supporting their software on UNIX, Linux & Windows platforms.

Prior to VERITAS, I was with Foster Wheeler as a UNIX, Linux & Windows System Administrator.

All our Consultants have very similar backgrounds.

And now we want to bring all this experience and knowledge to you...

Why?

It became clear to me that large companies enjoy full-time on-site professional support and advice for all their computer needs.

Home computer users however, are often left to fend for themselves.

Magazines and books can help and teach so much - but people are often still left confused and frustrated at their computers inability to behave itself, or accomplish their objectives.

They are often also too nervous to ask for help - or perhaps feel they are stupid if they can't work it out themselves. Well, don't you believe it! Computers are complicated things - and everybody had to learn sometime - and were doubtless taught by someone else. That's the only difference between them and you!

Everything is easy when you know how - until then it is hard! With the right person showing you the know how - the easy will soon follow.
